The Fulani people

FULANI comprise of many different groups: 1. Fulanawa ( from Muhammad Fulani ) 2. Falatawa ( from Abubakar Falata ) 3. Durdawa ( from Umaru Durdo ) 4. Torankawa ( from Usmanu Toro ) 5. Gurdawa ( from Aliyu Gurdo ) 6. Sullubawa or Shafilawa ( from Fatima Sippowo, married to a Roman by the name of SILSULU). Though Roman, but Sheik Uthman bn Fodio directed that they be counted as Fulani. They were all descendents of Uqba bn Aamir Abu Ubaidah bn Aljarrah, who married Maryam nicknamed Bajjo Mango (meaning the only child of her parents), daughter of the King of Spain Mazfel bn Merseils; a Roman by tribe but a Jew by religion. He converted to Islam without a fight when Uqbah received Flag from Amri bn Asi, the Governor of Egypt during the Reign of Caliph Umar bn Kattab, to wage Jihad on Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco & the other lands nearby. Mansa Musa, thought to be the richest person in history

Musa Keita I came into power in 1312. When he was crowned, he was given the name Mansa, meaning king. At the time, much of Europe was famished and in the middle of civil wars, but many African kingdoms were thriving. While in power, Mansa Musa expanded the borders of his empire tremendously. He annexed the city of Timbuktu and reestablished power over Gao. All in all, his empire stretched about 2,000 miles. Mansa Musa was in charge of a lot of land. To put it into perspective, he ruled all (or parts) of modern day Mauritania, Senegal, Gambia, Guinea, Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, and Chad. The rest of the world caught wind of his great fortune in 1324, when he made the nearly 4,000 mile pilgrimage to Mecca. He didn't do it on the cheap. Chinese Muslim county bars children from religion today.ng Jan 17, 2018 2:10 PM Xinhua A mostly Muslim county in western China has banned children from attending religious events over a winter break, an education bureau said in a notice posted online, as authorities step up control of religious education. According to a notification by the district education bureau, school students in Linxia county in Gansu province, home to many members of the Muslim Hui ethnic minority, are prohibited from entering religious buildings over their break. The bureau said students must also not read scriptures in classes or in religious buildings, the bureau said, adding that all students and teachers should heed the notice and work to strengthen political ideology and propaganda. Nigerians in Diaspora tackle Trump over ‘vulgar’ comments

The comment made by US President Donald Trump in reference to Africans and other immigrants has elicited outrage from the Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation Americas (NIDOA) - NIDOA stated that Nigerians contributed immensely to the greatness of the United States and referred to Trump’s comment as an insult on a well-meaning group of people - The organized stated that the remarks do not help make America great again, and encouraged African countries, Haiti and others to be proud of their nationalities and stay true to their identities The Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation Americas (NIDOA) has expressed outrage at what it called ‘the vulgar, insensitive and racist language’ about Africans and other immigrants allegedly made by U.S. President Donald Trump, NAN reports.
